For Halloween, our class sang the 13 Days of Halloween to the tune of the 12 Days of Christmas. I brought my guitar and we recorded this podcast as our rendition of the song. They especially enjoyed the cooked worms on the 5th day of Halloween.
Here are the words in case you can’t understand the lyrics.
The 13 Days of Halloween
On the first day of Halloween my true love gave to me
A vulture in a dead tree.
On the second day…
2 hissing cats and
a vulture in a dead tree.
On the third day …
3 fat toads, . . .
On the 4th day . . .
4 giggling ghosts, . . .
On the 5th day . . .
5 cooked worms, . . .
On the 6th day . . .
6 owls a-screeching …
On the 7th day . . .
7 spiders creeping,
On the 8th day . . .
8 brooms a-flying,
On the 9th day. . .
9 wizards whizzing…
On the 10th day…
10 goblins gobbling
On the 11th day…
11 bats a-swooping…
On the 12th day…
12 caudlrons bubbling,…
On the 13th day…
13 ghouls a-gabbing …
