Online Publishing Permission Form

September 26, 2008 on 10:33 am | In Uncategorized | No Comments

I sent home a permission form about publishing student work on our class web page and on Think.com. Our class web page will be our home base for our excusions on the internet. Our page is called the Global Frig Door it is where we would like to publish a lot of our work: writing, artwork, pictures, voices, and possibly video. I am careful to not connect names with pictures on our page so stangers could not be able to come to our school or community and easily identify our kids. Please check all boxes for the various forms of writing so that we can express our ideas in a variety of ways.
I also said that we would be publishing on a web site called Think.com, but didn’t really say what it was. Think.com is a “Walled Garden” in which teachers can sign up their classes to create and publish their own web page. They can also visit an interact on other people’s web pages. I have used it teach online safety within an online social network. We may also use it to do projects with other classes around the world.
