Yes, the mammoth did make it to the Worlds Fair and was displayed in the Missouri room.  However after the fair, the Mammoth skeletons never made it back home.  It had disappeared, never to be seen again.  Spooky…  

As for the World Fair location, you are right.  The 1904 World&#039;s Fair was held in St. Louis.  So the mammoth had been shipped from Carl Junction to St. Louis, but not back again.  The owner may have secretly sold them to who-knows-who.</description>

		<description>I stumbled upon your classroom guest lecture regarding the mammoth find.

Did the mammoths make it to the World&#039;s Fair?  I could not remember if they were lost/stolen before or after the Fair.  And when were they lost/stolen?  I thought the St Louis World&#039;s Fair was in 1904.  Thanks.</description>
