On KOAM News with Turn Off the TV Week

Lisa Olliges with KOAM visited our classroom today for Turn Off TV Week next week.  She even interviewed a couple students from our class.  Here is the story that aired on TV.

08-09 Podcast episode 1 Mammoths

Marv Dahmen visited our school earlier this year.   He told us about the most unusual residents of ancient Carl Junction.  Two complete mammoth skeletons were discovered in Carl Junction just after the turn of the 20th century.  They were exibited at the Worlds Fair in St. Louis.  Afterwards they mysteriously disappeared.  Flip through these slides as you listen to Marv tell the tale.

Kidrex

KidRex – I love this new kid search engine. It uses kid-made graphics to give a friendly face to this kid-safe custom Google search engine.  Don’t be afraid of KidRex.  Although he looks mighty powerful, he is really very friendly to kids.  He’ll even play fetch (on the internet).  Fetch Rex…Fetch!
