08-09 Podcast episode 1 Mammoths

March 18, 2009 on 9:12 am | In Plants kit, Podcasting | 1 Comment

Marv Dahmen visited our school earlier this year.   He told us about the most unusual residents of ancient Carl Junction.  Two complete mammoth skeletons were discovered in Carl Junction just after the turn of the 20th century.  They were exibited at the Worlds Fair in St. Louis.  Afterwards they mysteriously disappeared.  Flip through these slides as you listen to Marv tell the tale.

  1. Very interesting history about Missouri!
I knew a bit about it, because I was in a museum during my stay in MO. But I did not know as much as he told on the podcast!
