Unit 28 Word Study

The concepts for this unit are:

1. Some words are spelled more than one way.
2. A suffix is a letter added to the end of a word.
3. Frequent spelling patterns for words with soft-syllable endings include /ûr/ spelled er, or, and ar

The Unit Core Words are:

Unit 28:

Homemade Instrument presentations 1

We are finishing our Sound unit and made Homemade Instruments.  Students brought in their instruments and presented them to the class.  They told us about the instrument and how it worked.  They also had to explain:

1. How it makes sound and how we hear it.
2. How to change the pitch.
3. Extra Credit for playing a song.

3. Homophones are words that sound the same but have different spellings and meanings.

The Unit Core Words are:
